All NAM fly lines are designed by the NAM team of Anglers and manufactured in the USA by RIO Products. No secret is made of this. On the contrary! The NAM team has deliberately chosen the American manufacturer of premium lines and draws on years of experience with successful Trout and predatory Fly lines. The tapers and head weights of NAM fly lines are perfectly matched to the respective fishing applications and rod classes - you will notice this right from the first cast. For single-handed rods, three different models are available in the first generation: N-Type, A-Type and M-Type. Whereby the three letters not only represent the company name, but also briefly describe the typical application.

The three models differ both in head length and overall length -:

N-Type: "No Space" (7,1m head, 27m overall length)

A-Type: "Allround" (9,2m head, 29m overall length)

M-Type: "Maximum Distance" (10,8m head, 31m overall length)

About M-Type Lines

M-Type fly lines from NAM are designed for maximum distance and are the right choice if you are looking for an efficient way to tease out the last few metres of casting distance. The harmonious and balanced taper with a head length of 10.8m is very stable in the air, making it easy to handle large amounts of line and form precise, tight loops. Even gentle presentations are performed effortlessly with this floating line! With a matching leader you can set your dry fly down on the water like a feather - perfect for shy Trout and Grayling on both rivers and lakes. The M-Type is also great for the coast, as it brings you a lot closer to the horizon! M-Type lines are suitable for casting enthusiasts and perform equally well in overhead and water contact casts. The longer belly works particularly well at medium and long distances and is ideal for fly fishermen who place great value on presentation.
